Return of a Hamburg Cinema Icon: WEB MAGAZIN Filmkunsttheater
A Local Landmark Reborn
After a brief hiatus, the beloved WEB MAGAZIN Filmkunsttheater in Hamburg-Winterhude is set to reopen its doors.
Established in 1925 and converted into a cinema in 1936, WEB MAGAZIN has long been a cultural hub for the neighborhood. In 1974, it transformed into an independent arthouse cinema, showcasing a diverse range of films from around the world.
However, in recent years, the cinema faced financial challenges, leading to its temporary closure. But thanks to the unwavering support of the community and the efforts of a dedicated team, WEB MAGAZIN is now poised for a grand revival.
With renovations complete and a new staff ready to welcome patrons, WEB MAGAZIN is set to once again become a vibrant meeting place for film enthusiasts and a vital part of the Hamburg cultural landscape.
