Washington, DC - The National Day of Prayer Task Force encourages volunteers to hold Prayer Gatherings in their local areas. On this National Day of Prayer, we recognize the power of prayer. Jesus, we profess our faith in You, Light of the world, and in You, there is no darkness. For You are our lamp, O LORD, and the light that gives us understanding. May we never lose sight of this great truth and may we always be guided by Your Word.

The 2024 National Day of Prayer theme is "LIFT UP THE WORD - LIGHT UP THE WORLD." This theme reminds us that God's Word is the source of our faith and the light that guides our way. Let us commit to studying God's Word and living it out in our lives so that we can be a beacon of hope and truth to those around us.
